Adriana Azuara

Founder & CEO, ALL4SPAS, Mexico

Adriana Azuara, from Mexico, is founder and CEO of ALL4SPAS. She has been involved in over 400 resort, urban spa and wellness projects in Latin America. Professor of the University of Tourism, member of the board for Latin American Spa´s Association, and creator of the unique Mexican Skincare line "Agave Spa". 

Brent A. Bauer, MD

Director, Complementary and Integrative Medicine Program, Mayo Clinic, United States

Dr. Bauer is board-certified in Internal Medicine, a Professor of Medicine and has been on staff at Mayo Clinic for 23 years.  His main research interest has been the scientific evaluation of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) therapies that patients and consumers are using with increasing frequency.  He has authored several book chapters and over 100 papers on this topic, and is the Medical Editor of the Mayo Clinic Book of Alternative Medicine.

Joanne Berry

Global Lead Certified Trainer, Wellness for Cancer, United States

Joanne Berry brings over 24 years of professional, international experience to the luxury and medical spa industry. She started her career as a therapist in 1992 in the UK and moved to the USA in 1999 with Elemis as their International Trainer for their USA & Caribbean based projects. Her various positions throughout her career have been focused on business management and education in many different segments of the spa industry including, cruise ships, multiple day spas, resort/destination spas, medical spas and most recently integrative health clinics.  Joanne has conducted extensive training and product seminars, including one project that involved training over 400 staff in all aspects of spa treatments and guest service. 

Manuela Malaguti-Boyle, PhD

Integrative Oncologist, Australia

Manuela Malaguti-Boyle, PhD cand, MHSc and ND, is an Australian Integrative Oncologist with board certification by the Institute of Integrative Medicine (USA). With over 20 years of clinical experience in Integrative Medical centres in Australia, Italy, United Kingdom and Singapore, Manuela is a leading integrative oncology educator delivering training and mentoring to medical doctors and allied health practitioners. Manuela is a regularly invited guest speaker at key conferences both nationally (ACNEM, A5M, ATMS) and internationally (Paris, Barcelona, London, Singapore, Dubai, Dusseldorf) and is the published author of several peer-reviewed papers. Her interview has appeared in consumers’ magazines such as Australia Wellbeing and the Art of Healing. Manuela is a peer reviewer of the prestigious “Breast Cancer: Basic and Clinical Research Journal – Libertas Academica. 

Sharla Charnley

Director, Truly Wellness, Australia

Originally from the UK, Sharla has travelled extensively in her quest for self-discovery and healing knowledge, establishing several successful wellness centres throughout India, East Africa and Asia Sharla has over 24 years in the spa and wellness industry, she has created world class spa treatments for Molton Brown, teaches spa management training and is an experienced spa consultant. Sharla is qualified in an array of therapies, and specializes in aromatherapy,   yoga and Reiki. Prior to founding truly wellness Sharla spent eight years on luxury cruise liners as one of Steiner Leisure’s top Spa Directors. Sharla furthered her experience in 2001 spending 12 months in India at Ananda Ashram, Pondicherry, where she rigorously studied Rishiculture Ashtanga Yoga and Hinduism. Most recently sharla studied at Findhorn in Scotland to gain the understanding of community lifestyle, Ecodesign and sustainability.

Founding partner of the HeartMath companies; 14 years as Director of Organizational Programs. As a founding member of the Institute of HeartMath, and now a Director at HeartMath LLC, Sibyl has been consulting and helping organizations create healthy, positive, resilient cultures that serve the people at work transforming their health, performance and wellbeing for over 20 years.

Managing Director and Lead Trainer, Wellness for Cancer, United Kingdom

Olivia Davies is the UK Managing Director and Lead Trainer for Wellness for Cancer. She has worked in the Spa industry for over 20 years for some of the leading UK Spa brands including Champneys, The Sanctuary and Thalgo. After starting her career as a therapist in 1994 she soon progressed into education and has trained thousands of therapists over the last 15 years. Having spent 8 years at the Sanctuary firstly as Spa Manager, then General Manager welcoming 60,000 guests a year and managing 150 staff she is hugely experienced in running a successful spa operation. Whilst at The Sanctuary she became increasingly frustrated with the lack of training available to spas enabling them to treat guests experiencing cancer. Olivia has a true passion for education having seen first-hand the impact that strong training has on customer experience.

Felix Lopez is a Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher dedicated to bringing people throughout the world a practical path of healing, mindfulness and meditation in an accessible way. Drawing on his path as a former Buddhist monk, Energy Healer, and as an artist, Felix offers a unique perspective on mindfulness for leadership, stress management, mental well-being, and daily living. Felix is the leader of Jhana Center, a social enterprise committed to helping the industry truly understand the relationship between mental well-being and wellness.

Jill’s team at Ramside Hall has completely embraced Wellness for Cancer as a strategic initiative.  Her team has been fully trained, had a successful launch and is now planning healing retreats.  Jill’s strength lies in her ability to drive a dynamic sales culture through authentic spa product development and engagement with both the spa industry, her teams and the local community.  With a proven track record in spa revenue management at two leading hotel spas; Jill has built on her prior experience running her own businesses and developing food and nutritional concepts.  You can always be sure Jill’s ideas and initiatives will be right on the zeitgeist!

Mariela Silveira, Md

Co-owner and Medical Director, Kurotel Longevity Medical Center and Spa, Brazil

Dr. Mariela Silveira is co-owner and medical director of Kurotel Longevity Medical Center and Spa, founded by her parents. She holds advanced degrees in medicine, medical acupuncture, cognitive behavioral therapy and nutrology, and is an expert on the latest innovations in medical and wellness care. She is co-founder of the NGO Mente Viva (Mind Alive), which counts on volunteer health professionals to promote the culture of peace and a more sustainable world among children. She is the patron for education at the Healing Summit (Healing Hotels of the World) and Global Wellness Day Ambassador in Brazil. Dr Silveira is a frequent speaker at wellness congresses and summits around the world.
